Beyond our neighborhood schools, HCPS offers several choice program categories:
Magnet & Attractor Programs: These specialty tracks—such as IB, STEM, performing arts, foreign languages—are open subject to space. Applications require certain academic proficiencies (hillsboroughschools.org).
Career & Technical Education (CTE): Hands-on programs preparing students for industries and career pathways ().
Collegiate Academies: High school programs with college-credit opportunities.
Choice Hardship: Transfer options for documented family hardships; requires parent application and does not provide transportation (hillsboroughschools.org).

The 2025‑26 School Choice and Magnet Application opens July 7 at 6 p.m. and closes July 13 at 11:59 p.m. (hillsboroughschools.org). You can sign up via the HCPS website to receive alerts/reminders (hillsboroughschools.org).
